Event Planning Weddings

He proposed. She accepted. Now it's time to plan for the big day. Where does one start? He wants a big wedding. She wants a quaint one with family and close friends. Before deciding here are important facts to consider.
1. The date that you and your fiancé decide on is your day. You and only you and your fiancé should discuss and decide what you want. Allow suggestions with the understanding of who will be making the final decision.
2. Weddings are a very, very profitable business. Advertisements have convinced us that weddings must be an elaborate social event, and if you cannot afford or refuse to have an elaborate gala you will be disappointed and so will your guests.
Remember your family and true friends are happy for you and only want to share the moment with you. If your wedding day is enshrouded with elaborate festivities the true meaning of why two people are coming together will be lost. Remember Princess Diana's wedding? (My point exactly.)
3. Keep it simple. So you know a lot of people. But do you know that all of these people consider you an intimate acquaintance. If you have not heard from or seen them in years why invite them to your special day? Some of the loveliest wedding receptions that I have attended are the champagne and cake events. Have a party later when you both are more established financially, perhaps on your anniversary.
4. Enjoy the Moments. And you will, if you keep everything simple and plan within your means.

Summer Wedding Bouquets

Why not add a few extra touches: In memory of the period of the courtship and the engagement, you could use all the dried up flowers that were exchanged then. These add to the passionate additions of the special day. The petals that have been dried can be placed into the basket of the flower girl or scattered across the table of the bride or the table where the cake is to be placed as an adornment. If there is an adequate amount, the petals could be put to use so as to spray the bridal pair or draped in organza as a memento for the guests. Nowadays, there are a number of brides who add to their bouquets two additional flowers. As the bride walks down the aisle, she halts and presents one flower to her Mother. Coming back, she presents the other flower to her now Mother-in-Law.

Even a fairly formal wedding can benefit from a bit of color in the wedding bouquets. As long as the flowers which you select are sufficiently elegant, adding color will in no way detract from the formality of your ceremony. Roses are an excellent option, as they are both traditional and available in a beautiful array of colors. For an autumn wedding, bouquets with roses in fall shades of terra cotta, sunflower yellow, and rich red will strike the perfect mood. Extras like red hypericum berries and velvet ribbons will enhance the effect.
